ECM-30 Bursary Application

General
A limited number of bursaries are available for graduate and PhD students and young scientists who are aged 35 or younger (born on or after 1 January 1981) to assist them in attending the ECM-30.
Bursaries will be awarded to help ameliorate travel and accommodation costs, but cannot be used to pay for registration.

Bursary application procedure
1. Submit your abstract via the regular online abstract submission procedure until 16 March 2016. A bursary applicant should be the presenting author of the abstract.

2. Fill out the bursary application form by clicking the button below, attaching the required accompanying documents and send them to bursaryecm30@congrex.com, by no later than 16 March 2016.

Required documents

1. Curriculum Vitae containing name, work address and contact details, date of birth, citizenship, education background, employment history, current position, and a list of the applicant’s publications

2. A Letter of Recommendation from the applicant’s Supervisor or Head of the Department/Group. The letter should confirm the status of the applicant (PhD student, graduate student etc)

3. A Letter of Motivation for Bursary Application, including a short statement of the applicant’s current research and objectives (maximum one A4 page long).

Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Important dates
Deadline for Application
The deadline for the bursary application is 16 March 2016. Please note that only applications containing all the required documentation will be considered for bursary. There will be no extension of the deadline!

Approved bursary applications
A decision about the bursary application will be communicated to all applicants by 7 April 2016.

Registration procedure
After your application has been accepted, we kindly ask you to register online for the Congress until 20 April 2016 (reduced registration fee). Only after you have registered, your bursary application will be validated and you will get reimbursed according to your application.

IMPORTANT: Registrations made before 7 April 2016 and paid for will not be refunded in case your bursary application has not been accepted.

Please note that travel and accommodation has to be organised by yourself. Please present yourself with an identity card as well as a copy of your accommodation and travel receipts at the Congress Secretariat on-site during the conference and after signing a formula you will get your bursary (in cash).
